After completing 5 Ironman events and 30 marathons, it isn’t unusual for people to ask me what it is about training and racing that keeps me coming back for more.
For me, race day is the icing on the cake. This day is the culmination of all my hard work, pushing my body to limits I never thought possible. I always tell people that if you want to race an Ironman or a marathon, you have to enjoy the training.
Training for Ironman opened up a whole new world for me in terms of cycling. I love the opportunity to explore new routes and I like to take advantage of the many fantastic rides we have on West Coast such as: The Canada Day Ride, STP, Axel Merckx and GranFondo Whistler just to name a few.
What I love most about coaching is sharing my passion and experience with new riders. I enjoy watching their skills develop and achieving their goal with a smile on their face. It is simply awesome!
When I’m not coaching on the road with Kits Energy you can find me in the gym as one of Kits Energy’s personal trainers or at my part time job as a dental hygienist.
