Intro to group riding

This group is for new riders who want to learn how to ride with clipless pedals and become comfortable riding in traffic and with other cyclists in a group.

As of 2023, Kits Energy no longer runs an Intro to Riding group.

If interested, please contact Kristina to organize an Intro to Riding workshop for your club or business. Class size is limited to 12 participants (minimum of 5). All types of bikes are permitted for this class, with the exception of electric bikes unless everyone in the group is also riding electric bikes.

By the end of the six weeks you will have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to join any group ride or participate in an organized training workout on the road.

Week #1: clipless pedals –  this session is optional depending on the group

Week #2: braking safely, bike handling skills, hand signals

Week: #3: climbing and gearing

Week #4: descending and cornering
